What are test accommodations?

 

The intension of test accommodations is to offer test-takers with full approach to the exam. However, test accommodations are not a promise of better performance or test completion. Microsys offers reasonable and suitable test accommodations to each person with documented disabled people who require for test accommodations.

Microsys test accommodations contain the following issues:

  • A individual testing lab

  • More extra testing time

  • A Reader or Recorder for them with impairments in mobility or vision and cannot read or write by themselves

Test accommodations are considered design for individual one and should be based on a case-by-case. As a result, not only one type of test accommodation (e.g. extra time) would necessarily be suitable for all disabled people. Simply showing that one individual fits diagnostic criteria for a special disarrangement does not mean that each person is automatically gave the right to test accommodations.

What test accommodations are suitable for me?

 

Special test accommodations provided should be considered about the test-takers’ functional limitations. For example, functional limitation would be about impaired mobility, as loss of a hand, which candidate disable to write, type, and record their answers. The suitable test accommodation might need the assistance of a human recorder/scribe. It is necessary that the disabled people provide the documentation and need to describe clearly of their current functional limitation(s) and a reason for each requested test accommodation. You should work together with your doctor or other expertise who realize you to decide which test accommodations are suitable for you.

All test-takers who need test accommodations because of a disability have to offer suitable paper documents of their situation and how it is expected to affect their ability to take the test under standard situations. This may contain extra supporting paper document from the expert who diagnosed the condition.
